Old Time Hymn Sing at the Historic Cober Church circa 1888
Located on Dufferin Street between Langstaff Rd. and Hwy #7 in Vaughan
This is the fifth in the Hymn Sing Series featuring the Drudge Family and Baker Sisters. Multiple song leaders will direct a cappella singing from a souvenir hymn book. This event is sponsored by the Trustees of the Cober Church.

Pioneer Harvest Festival at Black Creek Pioneer Village
1000 Murray Ross Parkway, Toronto (Steeles Ave. & Jane St.)
York Chapter members demonstrate pork butchering and sausage and sauerkraut making. The freshly made sausage is then sold. Sauerkraut and apple butter are also sold. The Conestoga wagon will be on display and PGFSO books and videos are available for purchase. The Village will be a busy place with food, crafts, demonstrations and entertainment. This is a wonderful Fall event for the whole family.

Applefest at Markham Museum.
The Museum has been organizing Applefest each fall for many years. It features the operation of the historic Altona Cider Mill and the Ratcliff Saw Mill as well as the steam traction engine. The Markham Historical Society and some of our PGFSO members participate in this event. There are many activities for children around the 25 acre property. All are welcome.

174th Markham Fair

It is always fun to visit Markham Fair, one of the largest agricultural fairs in Canada! It is a fall show of agriculture, crafts, livestock and entertainment. The quietest times are Thursday or Friday before the big crowds come on Saturday and Sunday. Many of our members are active in planning and delivering this great four-day fair, including arranging and demonstrating threshing, shingle making, rope making, with a large assortment of antique equipment and implements, including tractors. Markham Fair is fun for the whole family.
